The tiling is complete. And
so, on the Friday before Mother's day, a month after they took up
residence in our garage, and 7 weeks after the kitchen demo began, the
new stove and refrigerator were installed.
Also of note: the patio cover is thirteen boards short of being done, and we have a new dinette between kitchen and backdoor. |

Finally liberated from the
garage where they had been taking Kristi's car's space, the appliances
were used almost immediately after they were hooked up. There was much rejoicing, and
Kristi makes rash promises about not needing to go out for a restaruant
meal for months.

The deck railing was
created with both new wood and reused lumber from the old, smaller
patio cover. |
