Virtual Sherwoods FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is Virtual Sherwoods?
It is the Sherwood family's online yearbook: monthly journal entries with photographs written by Keith Sherwood of San Diego, published as web pages from January 2001 through 2005, plus a 2011 reunion edition.
Who wrote the entries?
Keith Sherwood wrote every edition, with regular appearances by his wife Kristi, sons Brad and Doug, and (from 2003) the family golden retriever, Dancer.
Why are some months missing or "not published"?
Journaling happened in real life. In 2004 the family was living through a six-month house remodel and caring for a beloved aunt, so the journal was only published through May. In 2005, spring caregiving and church duties delayed the first editions until May. In 2002, June and July slipped by without an edition. January 2003 was also skipped.
What happened to the photographs?
Most galleries survived. The site was recovered from the Internet Archive, and a few photo thumbnails from the 2004 and 2005 months were not captured — those pages keep their original captions so the stories still read well. The remodel diary, 2002, 2003 and the church galleries are fully illustrated.
Is this the original design?
No. The words are exactly as written at the time, but the pages have been rebuilt to load fast, work on phones, and read well in modern browsers. Addresses (URLs) for every original page are unchanged.
Can I link to or share the entries?
Yes — please do. The text and photographs are © Keith Sherwood; link freely, but ask before republishing content elsewhere.
How can I reach the family?
Write to keith (at) virtualsherwoods dot com. Plaudits are especially appreciated.
